FIX Protocol Limited and Thomson Reuters are no longer maintaining the specific exchange codes listed on this page. The FPL Buy-side Working Group's Execution Venue Sub-group has established the best practices of using Market Identifier Code (MIC), an ISO 10383 standard, to identify execution venues. The recommendation is to use MIC regardless of the version of FIX being implemented, including implementations using FIX 4.0, 4.1, or 4.2.
